Free time monitor course in Soncillo 300h

Do you want to train yourself as a true free time monitor with the instructions of the most prepared teachers? Then you have to reserve a place for one of the 5-day intensive courses that we offer in December and which take place at the Soncillo youth hostel, in Burgos.

After 300 hours, divided into 3 phases of varying duration, you will obtain the degree that will certify you to practice this profession. Here is the battery of knowledge, both theoretical and practical, that you will acquire with this training:

• A first block, condensed into 50 hours, in which content on games and recreational aspects, the profile of the figure of the monitor and their responsibility towards the children will be discussed. , the evaluation and programming of various activities, the regulations on the trade or basic aspects to prepare a good camping trip.

• A second phase, also theoretical, which will take you about 100 hours, and which is free in theme. That is, you can correct this phase by attending conferences, conferences, workshops, or by validating other degrees with similar content.

• And finally, come your practice of 150 hours of free-time exercises at any time. We give you a period of 2 years to carry them out.

However, only those people who are over 18 years of age and who have the title of School Graduate or Education may be part of our courses. Compulsory Secondary.

This is a plan designed for young people between the ages of 7 and 16, which we will divide into subgroups of similar ages. It will take place from July 21 to 30, in a single 10-day shift.

Our location will be Soncillo, in the Valdebezana Valley, and close to important cities such as Burgos, Bilbao or Santander. The accommodation is a youth hostel that has bunk rooms and all the necessary services for a fantastic stay.

For the activities part, we have a great program prepared:

• We will do a rafting descent.
• We will ride aboard canoes.
• We will go bathe in the pool and the river.
• We will go hiking.
• There will be an interpretive excursion in Orbaneja del Castillo.
• Evening parties will be prepared.
• We will practice different sports and have championships.
• We will prepare games and gymkhanas.
• We will visit the beach in Cantabria.
• We will educate in values.
• Crafts and creative workshops.

If you are thinking about a job where you have fun, there is no better option than becoming a free time monitor. For that you will need a coordinator title, and we will provide it to you in this 5-day course in Soncillo. You will learn with qualified teachers with extensive experience.

You will attend theoretical classes where you will have to complete 75 hours in person and 25 hours remotely. During this time you will learn everything related to the functions of a coordinator, evolutionary psychology and medium study. Also, youth legislation, associations and volunteering, risk prevention in activities, etc. In the remote sessions you will take tests through telematic means.

Once you have passed the theoretical part, you will move on to the practice (2 years to complete them) which you can do in a camp, route or flying march, work camp or shelter. You will have complete freedom to choose (if there are vacancies) the place where to carry them out. To validate the internship, it will be a requirement that the minimum duration of the internship be 14 days or 200 hours.

During your in-person classes you will have accommodation in a youth hostel with full board (breakfast, lunch and dinner).
