Thus, you must book our 4-hour canoeing session where you can jump into one of our single kayaks and paddle around despite your previous experience or your current abilities. Our instructors will provide briefings on safety and they will also share some tips in order to make you feel comfortable.
Equipment is included and you will get great buoyancy aids and all that you need for the experience itself. You need to bring, however, a spare change of clothes and that would be all!
River Blue has an incredible historical value as it was used by Romans and ancient cultures to bring in and out food and other goods, but also for going to spots in the country like Highbridge itself. It is also protected by the Somerset Wildlife Trust, thanks to the richness of its wildlife. Did you know, for instance, that you can find only here the beautiful and rare Large Blue, a butterfly species that has blue, crystalline wings?
You should bring something to eat and drink in order to have your energy levels at their highest the whole time, though we have refreshments available, and don't forget about bringing waterproof jackets that you can use during the travel.
As we know that you're going to remember 4 because it's the number of hours that the activity lasts, 4 is also the age that you must be in order to take part in it!

The equipment is included and you must be wearing buoyancy aids during the whole session, especially if you are a kid of 4, which is the minimum age required to take part in the adventure.
As we know that 6 hours is a long time, you must remember that sunscreen is needed. You should also get some extra clothes to get changed after the session and remember that a coat is also recommended because you may feel cold in some parts of the journey.
However, the travel itself is quite soft as water flows are the flatTest in the area. During your session, you will be able to travel around zones that were used by our military forces, back in World War II, as a defensive place to avoid German invasion. If we go back a little more in time, Romans also used River Blue to get to other points in the UK and to navigate from the continent to the islands.
