Junior Kayaking Lesson (under 16) at Dock Beach 2h

Kids love an adventure and endless fun exploring is possible with kayaking, and this introductory lesson for under 16s will open up a whole new world of discovery and passion for them!

All juniors under 16 must be accompanied by an adult for this lesson, but they will also be under the expert supervision of a fully qualified instructor with years of experience teaching people of all ages and abilities, which makes them an ideal guide for this session aimed at beginners.

This adventure will begin at Kinsale Harbour in County Cork and head across Dock Beach. Before the adventure begins, we will brief the group on the safety measures that must be followed, and we will supply them with all the necessary equipment, including a sit-on-top kayak, paddle, wetsuit and buoyancy aid.

Two hours is plenty of time to learn many basic skills and gain enough confidence to glide along the water easily. This session helps build a strong foundation of skills and gives the kids the techniques needed to handle future adventures.

While learning and safety are at the heart of this lesson, fun is also a big factor, and we cater the session around the participants to challenge them and make it entertaining throughout.

We run adventures throughout County Cork and know the area like the back of our hand, so we can tailor the session to guide you on the most exciting routes; we also cater the lesson to the abilities of the group and each individual, meaning it is perfect to learn basics and gain confidence in the water but we can also make adjustments for more advanced paddlers.

This is a two-hour lesson, and regardless of what skills you arrive to us with, you won't believe how much progress you will make, and the fun you will have might even get you hooked on this fantastic sport.
