Own a Pony Activity in Burntwood, 1.5h

We’re all familiar with our children’s pleas to get a pony for Christmas.

Now you can make their dream come true, without worrying about the realities of keeping a large animal as a pet! We put on activity sessions which give participants a real feeling of what it’s like to own a pony.

The 1.5-hour session includes a horse ride of 30 minutes, educational activities related to horse care and wellbeing and plenty of time with the ponies. It’s a group activity, so there's socialising, fun and games as well.

This activity is aimed at children and young teens. They will need to come dressed for the elements, including covered legs even in the summer.

The activities will be led by passionate instructors with a love for children and horses. First-time participants are welcome and can enjoy leading a horse by the reins instead of riding, while repeat participants will enjoy variation in the activities we do, which change every time.

Our own a pony activities are the perfect opportunity to take your horse riding journey beyond standard lessons. There’s so much more to the world of horse care and the life of the stables - come and find out more!

Designed for young teens and children, these group activities are exciting and educational. It can be a good introduction to horse riding for novices or an enriching experience for young horse lovers.

In the 2.5-hour programme of events, we’ll cover some aspects of horse care and stable management, play some fun games, and go on a 30-minute horse ride.

Participants should wear clothes suitable for the outdoors given the prevailing weather conditions. They will be guided through the activities by our experienced instructors.
