Horseback riding in the Camargue - 1 hour

Today we invite you to discover the Camargue on horseback: an equestrian immersion in the heart of the Camargue region, a stone's throw from Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer!

An activity suitable for all members of the family which adjusts to each person's pace, under the supervision of a guide who is passionate about horse riding and the region, who will be happy to welcome you and show you around all of its wild and preserved nature. 

For approximately one hour, on the back of one of our perfectly trained horses and adapted for beginner riders, you will discover landscapes that will surprise you at each stage: you will be able to see from a distance herds of horses or black bulls in semi-liberty, wild meadows and water spots.

Good to know:

• You will enjoy an exclusive route in preserved landscapes in the Camargue region.
• You will need to take something to hydrate yourself, especially in summer.
• Remember to come with suitable, sporty clothes for the walk (long pants and closed shoes).
• For the welfare of horses, the maximum weight on the animal is 110 kilograms.

An epic adventure open to all during which you will set off, as if you were at the cinema, in the footsteps of Joe Hamman, between marshes, bulls, riverandMediterranean.
No need to be an experienced rider to participate, we adapt all our rides to the level and pace of all participants. 


How does the activity take place?

• You will be expected at the equestrian center at the appointed time, you will be received by your instructor who after a few instructions and adjustments, will help you put on your safety equipment and will introduce you to the horses. 
• After leaving the central trails, we will begin our walk on an old railway line formerly linking Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer to Arles. Very famous place for its western films. 
• We will cross nature between flora and aquatic landscapes, bull parks and other places that the Camargue region offers you.
• After nearly 2 hours of walking, once we retrace our steps, we will be able to enjoy a little aperitif between participants, well deserved!

So look no further! Here is a half-day exclusive tour on the back of a perfectly trained and very experienced horse, to travel through the beautiful Camargue. 

A horseback ride that accepts all types of public: our native instructor and guide ensures that you can fully enjoy your activity and that you have time to enjoy the 3 hours on the horse. During these, you will walk at a pace, trot, and sometimes gallop. 

During the walk you will have the privilege of crossing exceptional landscapes, notably an arm of the Rhône and the lands of the Grand Radeau, a preserved site closed to the public which requires special authorization.

To finish the hike, we will return to our ranch near Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer for a small friendly aperitif with regional specialties on the program.
