You should know that the difficulty level of this volcano is "difficult" so you will require physical condition and a lot of energy. We will provide you with a protective helmet, crampons, harness and ice axe, the necessary equipment for a safe hike. We must also tell you that this high mountain route has important slopes, as well as different types of soil from rocky to a part of glaciers.
We will arrive at San Miguel Zoapan at 10 in the morning, a town where we will go down to have breakfast while we listen to the technical talk to learn how to use the equipment , safety tips, the itinerary and the protocol that we will follow. Arriving at 12 in the afternoon we will be transported in 4x4 vehicles to the Piedra Grande refuge to install the tents and begin an acclimatization walk.
We will have dinner at 5 in the afternoon to go to rest and sleep early since we will begin the ascent at 12 at night. When we get up we will warm up and begin the walk on thePico de Orizaba. We will be returning to the refuge around 1 in the afternoon to celebrate the achievement of this new goal with a meal.
We will be returning to Mexico City at 8:30 at night.
