The height of this mountain is 2045 meters, one of the highest in the entire mountain range. It was formed throughout the Paleozoic period, and is mainly composed of slate.
At the foot of the Buitrera peak, in the east, the Tejera Negra beech forest awaits us, a fascinating place. Also, to the southwest of said summit, you will find the Pedrosa beech forest.
