Hike in Cerro Viejo Tlajomulco 4 hours

We take you on an expedition full of adventure, nature and spectacular landscapes. This is a walk and hiking route through Cerro Viejo, the third highest elevation in the state of Jalisco. The challenge is to reach the top while enjoying the journey.

Cerro Viejo is only 45 minutes from Guadalajara, in the municipality of Tlajomulco, and it is the ideal place to do nature tourism which is also within an area declared a Protected Natural Area due to the great biodiversity that inhabits this place. Along the way you will be able to discover part of the flora and fauna of this region, which is home to 509 species in its 23,000 hectares.

We will walk along incredible trails, you will see how the landscape changes depending on the height, the trees are different in type and size and the thickness of the forest will also change. It will be a visual spectacle since around you you will see different shades of green and brown that mix between flowers, bushes and mushrooms. And what can we say about the animals that we can find on our way such as badgers and squirrels. Other species that inhabit this hill are the scarlet macaw, the gray wolf and the Central American tapir, unfortunately all of them are in danger of extinction.

To join this adventure, it is recommended that you be in very good physical condition since the walk up is 6 km and the descent is 5 km, as well as 4 km if you want to reach the antenna area. .
