Take a helicopter trial lesson with us and bring along an audience! We offer introductory chopper experiences in a four-seater Robinson R44, with space for two passengers.
You’ll be sitting up front with one of our qualified, courageous and charismatic pilots. They will start the programme with a pre-flight briefing, before introducing you to the aircraft and its controls. In total, you’ll spend at least an hour on the airfield.
The flight time is around 30 minutes. The helicopter has dual controls which means that the pilot can give you the chance to operate different flight controls one after the other. If you’re invited to attempt a hover manoeuvre, you’ll understand just how much coordination it takes to fly a helicopter.
This once-in-a-lifetime experience - which can be given as a gift as well as bought for yourself - takes place in the Staffordshire countryside outside Wolverhampton, at Halfpenny Green Airport. The minimum age is 14 years old.

Trial lessons are available in this helicopter for people over 14 years old at the airfield serving the West Midlands, Halfpenny Green Airport, Staffordshire. This option includes a 30-minute pre-flight briefing, followed by an hour in the aircraft (most of that in flight).
