Deal overview
Come and visit the Medici Chapels and let yourself be pervaded by the art and history present in this place.
The Medici Chapels are one of the most famous mausoleums in the world, the resting place of 49 members of the Medici family, the most important in the history of Florence. Their importance, as well as the presence of the remains of such an important family, is given by the contribution given by Michelangelo to the construction. In fact, the artist has tried his hand at the most multipurpose version of himself by combining his work as a sculptor with that of an architect.
In architecture, Michelangelo contributed with the New Sacristy, a work in which the sculptor's ideas can be glimpsed, which he would later carry over into the construction of St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican. The New Sacristy joins the Old Sacristy on which Brunelleschi and Donatello worked.
Michelangelo, however, also made his contribution with three sculptures of excellent workmanship:Day and Night, Twilight and Madonna and Child. The sculptures are present to crown the tombs of family members such as Lorenzo De' Doctors.
This ticket is the best option to admire one of the most visited monuments in Florence, thanks to the skip-the-line option you won't have to worry about anything and only think about immersing yourself in Renaissance art!
