On this ecotourism excursion, the main attraction is a visit to the archaeological zone of Muyil, in the Sian Biosphere Reserve. Ka'an which means "Place Where Heaven is Born". This excursion lasts approximately 5 hours and is perfect to do with the family.
The first stop is at the ruins, remains of the ancient Mayan civilization and a city located in the middle of the jungle. Our guides will also explain more historical data about this archaeological zone of Muyil, important for its preferential role in trade between civilizations.
We continue our route through the reserve, now it's time to do the Canan-Ha trail. It is a walk in which the guide will explain to us characteristics and data of this ecosystem in which They inhabit a wide variety of animal and plant species. Our path ends at a viewpoint located 19 meters high from which you can see the entire biosphere and see that it has different types of microspaces.
We will make a brief break here for lunch, which consists of a Mayan tamale, that is, wrapped in a banana leaf with fruit. Returning to the tour, our next adventure consists of boarding a boat for a panoramic ride in the lagoons of Muyil and Chunyaxché. Once we find ourselves at theXtlapak lagoons, another ancient ruins, we will float in the canal.
Back on the boat we will return to our starting point and our tour ends here. After an excellent experience in the Mayan jungle.
