It is an archipelago of Portugal formed by small coastal islands bathed by the crystalline waters of the Atlantic Ocean. In front of the city of Peniche you will find the Berlengas Reserve, very close to Cape Carvoeiro. As it is a haven of nature in a practically wild state, it is a protected place and one of the most beautiful in the country.
The Berlengas Reserve is made up of three islets: Estelas, Farilhões and Berlenga. We offer you a guided tour with transportation included so you can discover the most characteristic fauna and flora of the landscape. Seabirds are part of the essential natural heritage of the archipelago, with seagulls being the most abundant.
In this protected area you will also find an important marine reserve with a very diversified fauna. Of its geography, it is worth highlighting the Fort of San Juan Bautista, which served as a defense of Portuguese territory. In addition, in the Berlengas archipelago there are many caves that can also be visited and explored inside.
