Soar through the skies with the serenity of a bird in flight, no noisy engines, no propellers, just gliding. We offer you the chance to experience this beautiful sport on a trial flight.

We fly from Fangunzeon Airfield, a simple installation in the unspoilt landscape of Dumfries and Galloway. It is set on the ridge known as Plascow Rig, which is between the Dalbeattie, Kirkgunzeon and the stunning Solway Firth.

This introductory experience includes a 15-minute flight with one of our club’s qualified pilots. This whole experience includes a welcome to the airfield and a briefing before the winch-launched flight.

We are keen to introduce as many people as possible to the world of gliding. Everyone, regardless of aviation experience, can get involved. We have taken children from the age of 4 years old into the skies. If this flight is enough to get you hooked, ask us about training to become a pilot.

Fixed Date bookings are non-refundable, except in cases of bad weather or issues with the provider. Bookings without a date or for gifting can be refunded within 14 days of purchase.
