In this shellfishing workshop on foot you will be accompanied by Marta Iglesias, a professional shellfish harvester who will be delighted with how to proceed in this admirable profession. During the activity you will be taught the methodology of extracting bivalves, that is, cockles, clams, etc. You will also learnhow to distinguish the different speciesand other issues that revolve around the collection or sale of seafood.
To feel like authentic shellfish hunters, you will be provided with all the necessary materials, such as wellies or a raincoat if the weather requires it. For your part, it is recommended to bring comfortable clothing.
The activity may vary depending on the state of the tide on the island during the selected dates.
