If you want to get started in the world of caving, we have a fantastic proposal for you. An incursion into one of the most spectacular caves in Cantabria, the Coventosa Cave. For 2 hours and 30 minutes you will explore its 35-kilometer-long interior.
The cave is part of the Cueto-Coventosa-Cuvera-Garma del Bucebron system. Despite its gradient of 815 meters, the itinerary you will follow will not be complicated. A professional instructor will give you the instructions you need to overcome each section.
The entrance is located in the municipality of Arredondo. We will leave the cars in the Val de Asón neighborhood and take a path for 10 minutes, which will take us to the cave.
On warm days, we will notice the "breath" of the cave before arriving, which gives it the name Coventosa. Remember to bring clothes that can get stained, and appropriate footwear.
