Come and discover speleology and learn about this science of studying caves and caverns. Accessible from the age of 12, the experience that we offer you is very complete. You will evolve in an underground river between sensations and change of scenery.
During a morning or afternoon, you will cross the Vicdessos Cave which is located in Ariège. This is one of the most beautiful caves in the Pyrenees to learn about caving. You will discover superb galleries under the mountain of the Rocher d’Olbier. Its watercourse slaloms between the rocks of white quartz and the walls of black marble. The show is absolutely magnificent. This underground canyon is full of small waterfalls of all kinds that will offer you a magical landscape.
Different routes are possible depending on your preferences. You will decide with your guide on the most suitable route. You are free to choose a path with or without use of rope. The journeys meet at the cavern exit to end with a natural water slide. You can slide on the water to come down from the cave and reach the outside.
If you are curious to go on an adventure in this idyllic lair, we invite you to meet at the office of Tourism in Vicdessos less than an hour and a half from Toulouse.
You will be able to meet your guide once there. After getting to know each other, it will be time to enjoy a briefing on caving and how this activity takes place. You can then collect your equipment and set off for this exceptional excursion.
Don't forget to take a towel to dry off and a change of clothes for the end of the activity. We also advise you to bring a plastic bag to store your wet belongings.
