This is an introductory formula to thissensational aquatic discipline, but also fun. A half day with a state-certified instructor who loves to share his know-how with adventurers curious to discover the Ossau Valley > and canyoning. He will supervise you and accompany you to discover the canyoning course at the Gave de Bious. It is capable of accompanying groups of 8 to 10 people.
You will find him in a parking lot at the Ayguebère swimming pool, in Laruns. Once there, he will give you a briefing which will last around fifteen minutes. He will tell you about the progress of this descent, as well as the safety instructions, which must be respected so that the activity takes place in optimal conditions.
Once everyone is ready, he will give you your equipment, including a neoprene wetsuit and socks, a helmet and a harness. He will also have collective equipment at his disposal that you will use once the activity has started. You will then head towards the Gave de Bious, to begin your descent. The approach walk and return will last 30 minutes.
You will spend approximately 4 hours doing this activity. You will enjoyfun jumpsinto the water, of a maximum of 7 m, which can be avoided if you do not feel comfortable doing them. You will also do assisted abseilings, which are very simple and will put you to the test. You will also have the opportunity toswim in the riverand enjoy theemerald watersof the Pyrénées-Atlantiques.
This fun activity is essential if you pass through the area. It can be done as a family, or with a group of friends or colleagues.

- You must know how to swim to participate in this descent.
- Children aged 12 or over can also take part in this adventure.
- Bring water and snacks.
- Transportation is not included.
- A swimsuit and towel.
- Closed shoes (sneakers) must be wornwill bewet.
