Fornocal ravine level 1 in Sierra de Guara

An exciting canyoning route awaits us through what is considered "the mecca of canyoning in Europe". In the Fornocal ravine, in the Sierra de Guara, we will have a fun and exciting afternoon where we will test our daring while we enjoy nature to the fullest: descending rocks, climbing almost completely inclined walls and falling into pools of crystalline waters.

Our experience in this entertaining sport does not matter, because Fornocal is a perfect canyon to start being a canyoner. Its difficulty level is 1 so exceptional physical fitness is not required, although basic fitness is required. This does not mean that all the excitement that one of the best-known canyons in the Pre-Pyrenees area promises will not await you, because you have up to 10 rappels with a maximum height of 15 meters.

The best time to explore the ravine is between April and June, since the flow of the river is perfect for this along the 4 km that it covers. You will have a spectacular view of the Portal de la Cunarda, an essential stone arch in this ravine.

The adventure begins in our facilities, which will serve as a meeting point where we will give you prior training and all the necessary equipment. Next, in our own vehicles we will go to the starting point of the designated canyoning route. Once here, then yes, our adventure proper begins.

We will enter the landscapes of the Sierra de Guara in the way that such a wonder of Huesca's nature cries out for. Composed of 3 clear parts, each one has its particularity because, as in the first, the flow is minimal in the second, having already passed the fifth rappel, this is doubled. In general you will find gray limestone corridors that you will love, pools that open onto sunny sections, the most fun slides, the occasional siphon...

We cannot think of a more adrenaline-inducing way to descend the Fornocal ravine. And of course, we will take you to discover our best kept secrets of one of the most famous canyons in the Sierra de Guara so that you have a magical and completely unique experience.

After the last section, where we will find the most technical rappels (up to 4) and from where we will have the best and most spectacular view of the Portal de la Cunarda, we will stop to catch our breath to begin the return that will not take us more than about 15 minutes. .
