Get it all and more on one of our guided canoe tours down the River Ure in North Yorkshire. WIth easy-to-use Canadian canoes, this is an activity that’s open to everyone from children (minimum age 7 years old) to adults and grandparents, beginners and experienced paddlers welcome!
The route takes us from Boroughbridge to Linton-on-Ouse. We usually meet in Linton and transport you to the starting point so that you can arrive back at your cars with convenience.
The Ure is a beautiful river that winds through woodland and meadows, providing a habitat for all kinds of birds, animals and invertebrates. Just before Linton, it turns east and becomes the River Ouse. It takes about 5 hours to complete this 10-mile journey, so 6 hours when transport is factored in.
One of our watersports guides will lead the excursion, from the safety briefing delivered on the bank, through the assignment of canoes, paddles and safety gear, and during the journey. They can suggest places to stop on the riverbank for a rest.
