We run tours on Scotland’s only semi-submersible glass-bottom observation boat. As well as the open-top deck, there’s a submerged viewing deck that reveals the subaquatic world.
We sail on Loch Alsh, an inlet of the sea that cuts the Isle of Skye off from the mainland. There are panoramic views of the landscape on both sides of the channel and abundant wildlife in the water. We usually see seals, otters and seabirds on our tours, and sometimes we're visited by curious dolphins.
Tours run most days from Easter to Halloween, with exact sailing times depending on the tides. One hour is perfect to see the sites of the island and mainland coasts including Seal Island, a protected bird colony and Skye Bridge. There's plenty of time to discover the seafloor and its kelp forests, as well as the marine wildlife, from the underwater observation deck.
This offer is specifically for children up to 15 years old, but we have a price for adults too. A tour with us is bound to give your family trip to the Highlands a twist, and you can even bring the family dog, as long as it stays above deck. Refreshments and toilets are available on board.
