Sometimes it may seem that activities like balloon flights are things that only happen far from here, in places like Turkish Cappadocia or some North American park like Yellowstone. /strong>. But, nothing could be further from the truth, in Spain there are various points where you can take an impressive balloon flight.
One of them, possibly one of the most spectacular on the Peninsula, is the one we did in Guadix, on the border with the Sierra Nevada station. Throughout an hour-long tour, you will have the opportunity to take out the camera and press the button repeatedly, of course the landscapes lend themselves to this.
Furthermore, the special conditions of this region highlight something obvious: we can rise to heights above 2000 meters in altitude, but, at the same time, our pilot is also a fan of low-level flights, those that are developed almost touching the tops of the trees.
We will fly over certain places of interest in the region such as the gullies, these stone reliefs that remind us of the lunar landscape of Turkey, the highest peaks of Sierra Nevada that, in winter, we can find them completely whitish due to snowfall. Likewise, we will cross Guadalix and its cathedral, the cave neighborhoods, the alcazaba and the mines of Alquife, the largest open-pit iron mine on the Old Continent.
After the experience, a surprise awaits you: a breakfast to finish off the task in the best possible way. Ah! and an accrediting diploma that certifies that, in fact, you have made the flight.

We had a wonderful experience with the balloon flight. Initially we had the reservation for Saturday, but due to weather conditions we had to change it to Sunday, and the wait was totally worth it.
Our pilot, Felipe, gave us a lot of confidence from the beginning. The flight was calm, beautiful and exactly the experience we had been wanting to have for a long time.
The landing was very smooth, and the subsequent breakfast really surprised us: the place, the details and the quality of the products made us finish the day with a smile.

A great experience, we loved it. A very calm walk, no vertigo and with a total feeling of stability and security, we just miss a little more movement and being able to see Gorafe.
Perhaps it would be nice if the flight started closer to there and could see both things from above: the peculiar relief of Gorafe and Sierra Nevada.
Pipe is a great and expert pilot, just like Raúl and the entire team that accompanies them, they make the whole experience great.
The breakfast was a fantastic plus, as was the explanation at the oil mill. All 10! We recommend without a doubt and we will fly again.
