Basic Rules Collective Excursions

The collective excursions organized by the Sierra del Pinar Mountain Club are always open to the public and suitable for anyone with acceptable physical fitness, a desire to walk and a certain spirit of adventure, accepting some discomforts.

Sierra del Pinar Mountaineer Club

The Sierra del Pinar Mountain Club has operated in Jerez since 1971 as an Association legally constituted and registered with number 107, in addition to being affiliated with the Spanish Federation of Mountain Sports and Climbing and the International Union of Mountaineering Associations.

Its Statutes and Internal Regulations define it as an association of a sporting, conservationist, non-profit, apolitical nature, but with a totally democratic operation and structure, dedicated to the promotion and realization of all those activities that, within a broad concept of mountaineering, can develop in the mountains.

In this sense, the Club periodically organizes hiking, rock climbing, high mountain and expeditions, mountain biking, mountain skiing, canyoning, and even occasionally canoeing, rafting, bungee jumping, caving, paragliding, etc. ..

The Club is organized through a Board of Directors democratically elected by the Members' Assembly every two years. However, the Assembly meets ordinarily once a year, and extraordinarily when the members demand it in sufficient number.

The services that the club offers to all its members are, among others:

• Social venue for meetings (normally Thursday and Friday, starting at 8:30 p.m.).
• Specialized library with books and magazines.
• Initiation material for climbing and high mountains.
• Material for audiovisual projections on slides, TV. and Video.
• Processing of the F.A.M. federative card. and General Sports Mutual insurance.
• Participation in official activities with advantageous conditions.
• Initiation courses by qualified E.A.M. teachers.
• Advantageous access conditions to protected mountain areas.
• The conditions or requirements to be a member of the Club are:
• Be of legal age or a minor with parental authorization.
• Go to the social premises and fill out the registration form.
• Fill out bank authorization for payment of fees, (except necessary cases of cash payment).
