Company Overview
Chiltern Airsports Centre is based at Chiltern Park Aerodrome just 45 minutes west of London on the A4074 between Reading & Oxford in the Chiltern Hills. We are the only Airsports Centre in the Thames & Chilterns catering for Microlights flying, gyrocopters and skydiving and the closest to West London. Set up over 25 years ago we have a vibrant club and enthusiastic staff to welcome everyone of all ages.
Offering pilot training for NPPL licences in both fixed wing microlights and Gyrocopters, AFF skydive courses are also available as well as charity tandem skydives. On skydive weekends (Mar-Oct) full catering is available and anyone is welcome to visit. Our staff is comprised of highly qualified, passionate professionals who will provide all the help you need to reach your objectives.
Goring & Streatley railway station is 2 miles away or there is the X39 or X40 bus service from Oxford-Reading every 30 minutes half a mile from the airfield. By road it's the A4074, satnav address is Icknield Farm, Red Lane, OX10 6AS.
As we are weather reliant, it's best to check if we are open before travelling.
Summary Skydiving
We are an air sports company with our own airfield and hangar, so we can offer you an unforgettable skydiving experience. Whether you wish to try skydiving for the first time or are looking to hone your skills, we can help.
We offer several courses and plans that will suit all your needs. Among those programs, you will find the following:
- AFF (Accelerated Free Fall) Skydive Courses. Jump from a plane up to 15,000ft high and discover the feeling of free fall and the adrenaline rush it involves. You will want to repeat the experience!
- Tandem Skydives: jump from the plane safely tied up to one of our instructors. They will control the parachute and you will only have to enjoy the feeling. You can also make your jump a charitable event for a cause of your choice.
Skydive weekends start in March and finish in October. During those weekends we will offer full catering and we are open to visits from everyone. These are the perfect opportunity to get a taste of skydiving.

Summary Fly an Aeroplane
We offer aircraft flights, lessons and courses in our own grass airfield. Moreover, we have our own hangar where we keep the planes, which allows us flexibility and freedom to fly anytime.
Some of the activities we offer are:
- Airplane and Microlight Flying lessons in one of our two magnificent airplanes: the Ikarus C42 and the Dynamic WT9. Enjoy the experience of taking control of a plane while you fly into the sunset.
- Gyrocopter Flights. Enjoy a lovely flight in this original craft, created to fly safely at slow speeds. This way you will be able to control a craft that moves very similarly to a helicopter at a low speed and contemplating the landscape.
- Wing Walking. From May to October you will be able to walk on the wings of a Second World War Stearman Biplane while it flies.
- Pilot training. You can take your pilot licence training with us! You will need to follow a training plan and submit to 5 ground exam and a final flying exam to be able to obtain the licence. Be your own pilot!
