Minors with paintball markers

The craze for paintball games isn't just a passing trend. This activity full of strategies, laughter and paint is here to stay, and it's no surprise that many of us book paintball for special occasions. Just remember to always inform the company you're playing with about the players' characteristics in case there are restrictions for certain situations, such as if one of the players is underage.

There are dozens of companies organising paintball games, but not all of them have certified equipment to adapt the game for minors. Each battlefield operates differently, and although we know it's not a dangerous game, certain safety regulations must be followed when children play paintball.

Generally, for a minor to play paintball they must be at least 13-14 years old, always with signed authorisation from their legal guardian and under the supervision of a responsible adult (like the game marshal). The markers used in children's paintball vary depending on age:
  • Spring-loaded pistols (single-shot) for players aged 14.
  • Semi-automatic or automatic markers (electric and CO2-powered) for players aged 16.
