What is ziplining?
Ziplining involves sliding along a steel cable or rope between two points, usually located in a natural setting. Additionally, there are other challenges like Tibetan bridges, lianas, or rappels that make the activity even more fun.
Tips for Practising Ziplining
As with any other sport, there are recommendations to ensure it goes as smoothly as possible, without any incidents, and with everything you need to have a great time.
- Company. Get in touch with a professional company that meets all the necessary requirements to carry out this activity. At Yumping, we list many treetop adventure parks where you can enjoy this experience. Filter by the region where you plan to do it and contact the centres that suit you best.
- Professionals. Make sure all their equipment is certified and in perfect condition. Additionally, it’s mandatory for them to have experienced instructors who guide you and explain how to complete the course.
- Companions. Do you need someone to join you for the activity? It’s not compulsory, but... who wants to enjoy an adrenaline-filled day with no one to share it with? The more, the merrier!

- Clothing. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes that allow you to move freely. No special gear is required, but sporty attire is recommended to avoid discomfort.
- Equipment. All the gear you need will be provided by the company you visit. It’s crucial that you wear it and that they explain how to use it before starting: helmet, harness, ropes, carabiners, and pulleys, along with the relevant facilities.
- Safety. It’s very important to follow the safety rules set by each company. This way, everything will go smoothly.
- Empty pockets. You might lose whatever you’re carrying while tackling the course. It’s best to leave everything in a backpack in a safe spot at the park.
- Bring water. You might appreciate it during the course, and it won’t get in your way—you can leave it on the ground between circuits.

If you want to surprise the little ones at home, they’ll thank you for it—there are routes specially designed for them. And if you and your partner or friends prefer to do your own thing on a different course, you can do so at the same time.
