Skydiving

Skydiving is an extreme sport involving a freefall technique by jumping from an aircraft such as a plane, hot air balloon or helicopter. People practice it for different reasons - whether to relieve stress from daily life, to conquer fear of heights, or simply to live a new and different experience. Obviously, it's an activity anyone can practice provided they don't suffer from heart conditions.

Parachute

This non-conventional sport delivers unparalleled adrenaline sensations to practitioners and is undeniably described as a high-risk sport.

For its execution and the aforementioned reasons, certain specialised equipment is required. A skydiver is equipped with gloves, helmet, goggles, a dual parachute system, reserve parachute, altimeter, container, harness and thermal suit as minimum. The use of an automatic activation device is recommended so in rare emergency cases like fainting, this electronic device deploys the parachute at a predetermined altitude set in the equipment.

It's also necessary to establish certain safety protocols before jumping, such as designating a landing zone and defining emergency procedures for various scenarios.

Tandem Jump

The tandem jump is suitable for anyone wanting to try skydiving for the first time. Essentially it's a jump "in tandem" with an instructor... Now! Let's not get the wrong idea! It's about experiencing a skydive with no prior experience, which is why the jump is performed with a special harness connecting both bodies - instructor and passenger. It's a way to experience skydiving without worrying about anything. The goal is to enjoy the intense emotions this jump will provide and the breathtaking views visible from these heights.

For this, you and the instructor will jump from an average altitude of 4,000m down to about 1,500m, enjoying approximately 45 seconds of freefall. Once the parachute opens, you'll have about five minutes of descent before landing...
