Whitewater Kayaking:

Once you've gained some experience, why not try whitewater kayaking? An adventure that's difficult to describe - it must be experienced! In France, numerous waterways feature rapids and whitewater... allowing you to discover and practise this activity near you.

This kayak type is relatively short to ensure high manoeuvrability. Helmet and life jacket mandatory. Safety first!

  • Freestyle: Have fun with your kayak! This very short kayak lets you perform aerial tricks, partially submerge the bow, make it bounce, and much more...
  • Recreational: Very popular and practised on relatively short routes. You'll discover new sensations amidst nature. Interesting, no? Plus, remember you'll want to finish first, sparking friendly competition among mates or family...
  • Extreme: The route will be longer and more challenging. The risk level will also be higher, so it's essential you're well-trained or accompanied by competent professionals.
  • Slalom: An Olympic discipline where you must cross the finish line as quickly as possible without penalties while passing through 'gates' in a predetermined order.
Beyond the kayaks already mentioned, you'll find numerous other types enabling you to discover new activities: sea kayaking, kayak polo...

Kayaking and active tourism in general will offer you the opportunity to try original sports and discover new sensations - who knows, perhaps even a new passion.
