1. Cala Vadella
Cala Vadella is a stunning beach with crystal-clear waters, highly recommended for anchoring. It’s quite safe, with depths exceeding 15 metres.
Anchoring is typically done between 3 and 4 metres over sandy and weedy seabeds. It’s perfect for this purpose, thanks to rocky cliffs covered in vegetation that shield it from wind and waves.
Being a sheltered spot, it’s somewhat small for large vessels, making it tricky to get close to the shore.

Cala Vadella is ideal for families with children. Its calm waters are perfect for swimming, and you can also enjoy various water sports.
It’s one of Ibiza’s busiest beaches, so if you prefer peace and quiet, we recommend exploring other spots.
2. Cala d’Hort
Cala d’Hort is another of Ibiza’s best coves and one of its most iconic. This small beach lies within a natural reserve near the islets of Es Vedrà and Es Vedranell.
Besides the dramatic views of Es Vedrà, you’ll spot boathouses at the foot of the cliffs, adding a nautical charm to the beach.

This tranquil cove features beautiful white sand and transparent waters. Anchoring is done between 5 and 8 metres, with plenty of space to choose your spot.
It’s also one of the best places in Ibiza to watch the sunset. We recommend snorkelling here, as the seabed is rich and the waters are perfect for diving.
3. Port de San Miguel
This former fishing port has recently been transformed into a tourist area. It’s an excellent anchorage, protected from winds and waves, with depths of 5 to 7 metres.
Its proximity to Bosch Island shields the cove. Port de San Miguel is also close to the Can Marçà cave.

You can try various water sports here, and diving trips are often organised.
The beach has moderate depths and soft sand.
4. Cala Salada
Located north of Sant Antoni, Cala Salada is a peaceful cove with fine sand, clear waters, and pine-tree surroundings. Hidden among rocks, it’s rarely crowded.
The seabed is rocky, so take care when anchoring. Typically, boats anchor at 8 to 10 metres for ample space.

It features a small island to the north and a pier to the south. Perfect for anchoring and enjoying a sunset with company.
5. Cala Bassa
Cala Bassa is a popular and bustling anchorage near Sant Antoni, known for its transparent waters and fine sand. It’s ideal for children, resembling a natural swimming pool.

Though tourist-heavy, it’s worth visiting. Snorkelling and other water sports are great here.
6. Cala Jondal
This south-facing bay benefits from cliffs and pines, often frequented by yachts and other vessels.
The sand is fine, and anchoring is usually at 5 to 10 metres. It’s a wide pebble beach.

Peaceful but crowded in summer. Visit in September for fewer people and still-warm waters.
7. Cala Portitxol
One of Ibiza’s prettiest and cosiest coves, located 6 km from Sant Miquel. Perfect for anchoring.
Small and gravelly, anchoring is at 5 metres over rocky and sandy seabeds.

Quieter as large tourist boats can’t enter—only small vessels, making anchoring a serene experience.
