Do you love wine tourism? Are you thinking of doing something different this summer? We propose you discover a wine route through the Priorat region in Catalonia. Fancy a challenge?

If you're a wine lover considering a wine tourism route in Tarragona, we have an alternative proposal that might interest you. The wineries of Salou have designed a nighttime wine tourism experience in the Priorat region (Tarragona).

You'll be accompanied by experts in interpretive hiking, making their excursions packed with unique experiences. From wine or beer tastings to sampling the variety of local gastronomy, or simply relaxing in a unique landscape.

The guides will explain the local flora and fauna throughout, share traditional legends, and you'll likely finish the day wanting to repeat the experience.

Hiking in Priorat

The worst part of summer is the heat, isn't it? What better way to beat it than strolling through vineyards at night at sunset. You'll walk along the ancient harvest paths leading to Damunt Roca, where the inhabitants of Lloar first began cultivating vines.

The Priorat region has a winemaking tradition dating back to the 12th century, famous for its wines' distinctive flavour and strength. The Carthusian monks originally promoted these wines, and centuries later we still enjoy their spectacular characteristics.

Exploring this hidden landscape will bring fascinating moments - discovering unexpected corners, walking among vineyards while your guide explains the winemaking process, its aromas, its secrets...

 Road to Damunt Roca

It's the perfect way to connect directly with nature while learning about Catalan traditions. Not everyone gets to walk the paths that harvesters have trodden for centuries, so take this opportunity now.

As the activity begins at sunset, you'll enjoy spectacular sunset views from Grau del Pavet. Without doubt, some of the most breathtaking views you'll ever see. Could you really miss this?

One of the route's most exciting sections is the ancient cobbled path, restored in collaboration with the Agnès de Cervera winery.

After the walk, guides will show you Agnès de Cervera winery, where you'll enjoy a very special wine tasting: a picnic dinner under the stars. What more could you ask for?
