Marta is a Spanish actress who, at nearly 31 years old, boasts an extensive career in film, television, and theatre. She started out working as a screenwriter, director, and assistant director but realised her true calling was acting—and she hasn’t stopped working in front of the cameras since.
You may have seen her in films like León y Olvido, The Sea Inside, or The Longest Penalty Shot in the World, and now you can enjoy her performance in the Antena 3 series Gran Hotel.
But that’s not all—this Galician actress also makes time for her hobbies. Do you know which extreme sports she usually practises?
Yumping: Have you ever tried any extreme sports?
Marta Larralde: Rafting and climbing are probably the most extreme things I’ve done. Also trapeze, aerial silks, surfing, windsurfing, wakeboarding, snowboarding, and quad biking.
Y: Which adventure sport would you love to try?
ML: I’d absolutely love to try canyoning and paragliding.
Y: Is there one you’d never dare to try?
ML: I think I’d try anything... though skydiving does intimidate me (laughs).
Y: Do you dedicate your free time to any hobbies?
ML: I love running, yoga, cycling, hiking, and aerial dance on the trapeze and silks.
Y: What’s your usual way to get an adrenaline rush?
ML: Running is my go-to—I aim for at least three times a week. And when I can on weekends, I go climbing.
Y: Do you think people should try more adventure sports?
ML: Yes! But carefully: always with someone who knows what they’re doing.
Y: What’s the most thrilling thing you’ve ever done?
ML: Aerial dance in Peñalara.
Y: Land, sea, or air sports?
ML: I’m passionate about the sea! I’m dying to try scuba diving... that’s next on my list!
Y: Would you do extreme sports with friends or your partner?
ML: It depends on the activity... but I love doing it as a couple—it builds trust, patience, and teamwork. Facing fears and achieving challenges together brings you closer!
Y: Which extreme sport would surprise someone about you?
ML: A catamaran trip!
