Fancy a 100% fun adventure in Val-d'Oise? The region offers no shortage of outdoor sports. Today, we’re showcasing a legendary venue based in Valmondois: Atomik Paris. Located between Beauvais and Paris (30 km), this paintball club delights enthusiasts and beginners alike!

The club’s manager, Fabien Cuviliez, kindly answered a few of our questions:

ATOMIK PARIS

Yumping France — What’s the philosophy behind Atomik Paris?

Fabien Cuviliez   We’re paintball players first and foremost. When we welcome customers, we want them to leave with unforgettable memories and a good dose of adrenaline, of course. We offer high-quality experiences in a natural setting—a true immersion.

Y.F. — We’ve noticed your fields are constantly being upgraded, much to players’ delight. In Cergy, you’ve created a paintball paradise with 10 hectares of play area and six fields. Which features are you most proud of?

F. C.  Probably the fort—it’s been there for eight years and hasn’t budged. We also have bridges, towers, and buildings. This year, we used over 30 m³ of wood and planks for new field layouts.

Y.F. — Regarding the Big Game field—it’s huge! How and when can players access it?

F. C.  The Big Game field is open to all; it’s a must-play. For large groups, we organise scenarios with different objectives, enhanced with smoke grenades and even explosions.

Y.F. — Paintball is sometimes seen as a thrill-seeker’s hobby for a niche crowd. Yet it’s an activity for everyone! What do you offer beginners?

F. C.  The key to beginners having fun? Don’t pit them against seasoned players. Here, beginners play among themselves and fully enjoy the fields. If they later want to test themselves against veterans, that’s possible—but it’s their call.

We also provide full gear, including thick fabric overalls, reinforced quality gloves, and reliable, user-friendly semi-automatic markers.

Y.F. So even without prior paintball experience, you cater to large groups like corporate teams, works councils, or leisure centres?

F. C. — We can host up to 200 players simultaneously!
We especially love weekday large groups—we craft playful scenarios, often tied to their profession. The setups ensure everyone finds their place, whether sporty or not.

Y.F. — Safety-wise, some perceive paintball as "painful" or even "warlike." What would you say to reassure first-timers?

F. C.  Safety is our top priority. The rules are simple: masks on the field, barrel covers in safe zones. Groups are supervised on and off the field. Marshals ensure smooth play. If a player risks their or others’ safety, we won’t hesitate to remove them.

Y.F — What sets Atomik Paris apart for hardcore paintball enthusiasts?

F. C.  Enthusiasts know us well—we’ve been involved in paintball at all levels for 12 years.
Our team of eight boasts nearly 100 combined years of experience.
They also love finding other equipped players here to challenge.

 Paintball and Smoke

Y.F. — Atomik Paris offers special scenarios, like stag dos... Of course, there’s the classic "rabbit hunt" with costumes! Could you detail another scenario?

F. C. — We have many base scenarios: attack/defence, escort, medic. Marshals tailor them to the group’s energy. For motivated groups, we ramp up complexity.

Y.F. — To close, any funny paintball anecdotes from Atomik Paris?

F. C.  It’s hilarious when players get lost in the woods, heading the opposite way! We’ve even had to organise searches for stray customers.

Y.F. — Final words?

F. C.  Whether with friends, family, or colleagues, we’ll ensure you have a blast. We’re especially proud of our stunning forest venue and the vibrant weekend atmosphere.

Cheers, Fabien! See you on the field!
