Today we focus on that minor discomfort we've all experienced - but with a few tips and tricks, it can be solved or at least significantly improved. Nobody wants cold feet, so take note of these tips to keep your feet toasty.

1. Choose boots that are your correct size
It seems obvious, but many people think otherwise - and they're wrong. Many believe that the tighter the boot, the warmer your feet will be. WRONG! When boots are too tight, your feet suffer from poor circulation, which actually makes them colder.

2. Make sure they're dry when you put them on
Many of us simply put them on exactly as we left them the day before - by the door of the house or hotel. WRONG! It's important to leave them in a warm, dry place, separating the shell and inner boot to dry properly. This doesn't mean placing them near a fire or radiator though, as the plastic could warp.

3. Watch those socks! Use appropriate ones
Using excessively thick socks will make your feet sweat more, and when you stop moving, that sweat turns cold. That's why we recommend thinner socks - so your feet aren't squeezed and can breathe better, maintaining their temperature.
It's also wise to carry a spare pair of socks. Snow might get inside and wet them, so it's good to have a change if needed.

4. Try not to eat too much during the day
By 2pm we're all ravenous and could eat anything, right? Of course - you haven't eaten since 7am, which is normal. But before stuffing yourself, think about your health. Wouldn't it be better to eat something light so you can keep skiing, rather than overeating and feeling too lazy to continue? The point is, with a full stomach, blood goes straight to digestion rather than your extremities to maintain warmth. Think about it!

5. Heated insoles
As a last resort, if nothing else has worked, try heated socks. They're naturally more expensive than other options, but worth it if you don't want to worry.
Now that you know these tips for keeping your feet warm, do you have any that have worked for you? We're all ears.
