Required qualifications to become a professional diver

  • Open Water Diver + Advanced
Anyone can become a professional diver, provided they work through each certification course to develop their career. The first will be Open Water Diver, and you can choose between different certification bodies like PADI or SSI.

After completing this first course, you'll gain the necessary freedom to dive independently. Then you'll be ready for the next qualification: the Advanced course which will enhance your underwater capabilities and knowledge. After obtaining these certifications you'll be able to dive independently, but you'll always need to be accompanied by a professional. 

  • Rescue Diver / Diver Stress & Rescue
Regardless of which certification you choose, these courses will provide you with the necessary knowledge to recognise and know how to act in any dangerous situation underwater. You'll learn techniques to assist other divers in emergencies. This qualification becomes essential if you want to fully develop your professional diving career, as you need comprehensive knowledge.

  • Divemaster / Master Diver

  • Open Water Scuba Instructor
