We’re certain that by the time you finish reading, you’ll be eager to click here and choose the helicopter flight you’d most like to take over some of the most spectacular areas of our country. You’ll want to explore them all!

Helicopter Characteristics
  • Helicopters can take off and land vertically, allowing them to do so on buildings, mountains, or any location without needing a runway.
  • If you’re used to aeroplanes only moving "forward" (redundant as it may sound), helicopters can hover, fly at very low speeds, or even reverse.
  • Helicopters are far more complex to pilot than aeroplanes, partly for the reasons mentioned above.
  • There are two types of helicopters: military and civilian. Within these two broad categories, there are different sub-families of helicopters designed for specific purposes, such as firefighting helicopters, rescue helicopters, air ambulance helicopters, and many more.
  • Helicopters are propelled by one or two rotors mounted atop their structure—though some models feature up to 18 independent rotors.
  • A helicopter can carry between 4 and 10 passengers, depending on its type.
