Rafting is one of the star activities during the spring-summer season among water sports. Why? It’s incredibly fun, delivers high doses of adrenaline, is suitable for everyone (basic swimming skills required), immerses you in nature, and helps you beat the heat.

Among all the options available, Ven y Volverás offers a fantastic alternative for your days off. Even Valencia C.F. players have tried this activity—don’t miss out!

Discover the rafting wheel

Do you know what rafting wheel is?

It’s a fresh take on classic rafting, but instead of a typical inflatable raft for 8-9 people, it’s a solo adventure. At Ven y Volverás, they call these craft "donuts" due to their circular shape.

Why was this variant created? The company is based in Valencia, right below the Contreras Dam and bordered by the Cabriel River. The river’s flow depends on dam releases, so traditional rafting isn’t always possible.

Rafting requires a minimum flow of 20 cubic meters of water, but in their stretch of the river, levels often hover between 7-10 cubic meters—too low for larger rafts.

Do you dare with this type of rafting?

How does rafting wheel work?

A guide will brief you before starting. You’ll descend the river in an individual inflatable wheel (like a donut) using a paddle. The first section is calm, letting you soak in the stunning scenery and serenity.

Then comes a 5-meter dam drop—a thrilling water slide into faster currents. You’ll navigate obstacles like small rapids and waves created by the flow.

Very fun and for all audiences

The descent lasts about 1.5 hours, showcasing the breathtaking landscapes of the Hoces del Cabriel Natural Reserve (available April-August, inclusive).

Just bring swimwear, trainers, and a towel; Ven y Volverás provides the gear (wetsuit, wheel, helmet, paddle, and life jacket).
