Horseback riding routes in Spain in 2018

The adventure sports website with the most bookings in Spain, Yumping.com, has conducted a study on the consumption of Horseback Riding Routes by province in Spain during the past year.

Madrid and Barcelona top the list with 15.4% and 13.9% of total bookings, respectively. They are the only two provinces to exceed 10% of the national total.
They are followed by Valencia (7.57%), Huelva (7.09%), Seville, and Cádiz (6.04% and 5.53%, respectively). Alicante, Girona, Cantabria, and Málaga complete the top 10 (4.78%, 3.76%, 3.39%, and 2.3%).

Conversely, La Rioja and Palencia rank at the bottom with 0.03%, while Ourense, Soria, and Zamora record 0.06%. Ceuta, Melilla, and Teruel close the list—areas where no bookings were registered.

These figures also include pony rides for children, multi-day horseback routes, and beach rides—the most popular during summer along various coastal areas, typically in southern Spain.
