Description of Zoológico El Bosque

The El Bosque Zoo is a private, non-profit space that today shares its facilities with the public with representative species from around the world. This allows us to meet animals from different parts of the planet while we learn more about the characteristics of different ecosystems and, with this, how to contribute to their preservation.

Our family beginnings have led us to achieve with care and personal passion two important areas to show visitors:

- Species: among which birds such as the tufted pochard, the creole duck, parrots from various geographical origins and birds of prey typical of the Peninsula have a special role.

Among the mammals it will be easy for you to identify the always curious meerkats and macaques, the elegant boreal lynx, the agile squirrels of Java or the maras of Argentina.

We have also focused on reptiles among which we can show you from the imposing royal python to the harmless false coral that tries to emulate its poisonous sister with its colors.

- Botany: flowers and plants grow throughout the park that are worth stopping our attention for a few moments, such as saffron, ginkgo and castor bean, whose names we have often heard. but we don't know what it looks like.

You will find us just over 3 kilometers from Oviedo daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. from the beginning of March until the beginning of December.
