Vigozoo is a Zoological Park integrated into its environment, which maintains a careful diversity of trees and plants. It has an area of 55,676 m2 that can be expanded, in which a wide variety of activities are carried out aimed at teaching, dissemination, research, tourism, leisure, research and conservation of species.
The animal enclosures are within a comprehensive naturalization process, and have varied vegetation and necessary physical elements with the aim of recreating the natural habitat of each species and providing the environmental enrichment necessary for their well-being.
It welcomes thousands of people throughout the year, including organized visits and the general public, and this requires a continuous effort to improve the facilities and services so that both animals and visitors feel comfortable. To this end, access roads and closures have been improved and new facilities are being created with the aim of becoming a reference zoo for the fauna of the northwest of the peninsula.
