Welcome to The Welsh Mountain Zoo

We are the national zoo of Wales, and part of The National Zoological Society of Wales. Set above Colwyn Bay, we are in a beautiful part of Wales, and provide a fun and educational day out for all the family.

We have a large variety of animals for you to see, many of which are endangered species. We also have beautiful gardens for you to enjoy with fantastic panoramic views. Come and enjoy a relaxing day with us enjoying our grounds whilst learning about endangered species.

We have a huge selection of animals, many activities for you to take part in, and shows to entertain you. You can even be a spectator to the training of the animals! Some of the animals you can see with us include:
