El Refugio de Potosí

El Refugio de Potosí we are anatural park where you can meet different animal species from the Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo region, of the state of Guerrero.

At El Refugio de Potosí you can make your visits every Monday, Thursday and Sunday of the year, at times from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, where you can take a tour led by a guide who speaks English and Spanish.

We have large facilities that include: butterfly garden, iguanary, macaw area, tower for panoramic observation, tropical green area containing endemic species and hummingbird area.

With us you can attend with the whole family, since our natural park issuitable for all ages.

In addition, we have a skeleton of a large sperm whale that lived near the park and we have its area to exhibit its great bone formation.

Within our park you will enjoy coexistence with many animals, such as deer, iguanas, snakes, bats, among many other species.
