Company Overview
Created in 1960 by a small team of enthusiasts ESF La Chapelle d’Abondance invites you to come and discover the joys of snow sports!
To date, around sixty instructors are at your disposal to support you during the winter season. The majority of them are natives of the village or the valley and will share with you their love of the mountains, its fauna and its flora.
The school is located in the village of La Chapelle d’Abondance which has retained its soul, its heritage and its unique charm.
ESF La Chapelle d'Abondance invites you to come and discover a ski area suitable for families with modern equipment and the development of artificial snow, through the following activities:
- Ski: children's lessons, adult lessons, cross-country skiing, skating, free style, handiskiing, etc.
- Snowboard: children's lessons, adult lessons, free ride...
- Snowshoes.
- Club Piou Piou: an exceptional space reserved for children.

Summary Skiing
ESF La Chapelle d Abondance offers you on the slopes this winter alpine ski lessons for adults, as well as lessons for children!
The ESF instructors offer you an adapted program which will allow you to combine technique and pleasure during your learning to ski at the Chapelle d'Abondance.
If you have never skied, they will help you familiarize yourself with the equipment, and discover the first skiing techniques.
You can enjoy beginner lessons up to expert lessons, in groups or in private lessons with an ESF instructor.
For the youngest, they will have the opportunity to discover skiing during safe and supervised games in the piou piou club. The Piou Piou CLub is reserved for children aged 3 to 5.
Summary Snowboarding
ESF La Chapelle d Abondance invites you to come and surf the powder of the Alps thanks to their snowboard lessons.
Snowboarding will require a different balance than skiing. ESF instructors are there to give yousnowboard lessons adapted to your current level, to allow you to start or improve in the best conditions and with the best technique.
From level 0 (you have never touched a snowboard in your life) to 3rd snowboard (figures, speed and boardercross), any type of course is possible. The instructors will be able to give you group lessons or private lessons according to your wishes.
This is a good opportunity to come learn snowboarding with family or friends this winter on the slopes of La Chapelle d'Abondance.

Come and enjoy an exceptional ride in the heart of the mountain on snowshoes with ESF La Chapelle d'Abondance.
ESF instructors accompany you in the mountains, off the marked slopes. The snowshoe routes will take you into wild and perfectly preserved nature.
You will go on an outing adapted to your level and will have the choice between thefun and family walk in the snowto the real sporty snowshoe hike. It's an ideal activity to recharge your batteries, far from the hustle and bustle of the slopes and the noise. Perhaps you will have the chance to come across some mountain animals in the enchanting landscapes of the Alps.
