Summary Skiing

Candanchu Esquí is the ski school at the Candanchú station, located in the Aragonese Pyrenees. It is one of the most experienced schools in the country, having been operating for more than 50 years. They have a team of more than 100 teachers who teach more than 30,000 students a year.

Classes can be booked individually or collectively:

- Individual classes: Individual classes are considered those given to groups of less than 6 people. In these classes, students usually progress much more quickly since they have practically the teacher's full attention at all times. They can be hired by the hour or by the day, and can even incorporate the pick-up service from the teacher at the students' accommodation.

- Group classes: Group classes are those given to groups of more than 6 people. It is a very fun way to meet people with the same level of skiing. Being accompanied also helps to progress and improve the level since you can notice what your classmates do well and badly and thus correct your own defects.

The courses are for all types of skiing: alpine skiing, cross-country skiing or telemark skiing.

Summary Ski Resorts

Candanchú Ski Resorts is one of the best-known resorts in the Aragonese Pyrenees that has all kinds of amenities and services so that skiers and snowboarders do not lack anything.
The resort has 51 skiable kilometers that are divided into slopes for all levels:

- 10 Green Runs: These are the easiest runs, ideal for people with very little experience and beginner ski school groups. Some of the best known are: Debutantes Alto, Pista Grande I or Príncipe de Asturias I and II.

- 12 blue slopes: Low level skiers who want to improve by skiing slightly more difficult slopes can opt for these slopes. Those who ski well can also go down the blue slopes if they are looking to ski in a more relaxed way, on wide slopes with little slope. Some of the best known are: Diagonal B-12 Río, Pista del Nido, Rey Juan Carlos or Rinconada.

- 17 Red Runs: The red runs already require an acceptable level of skiing or snowboarding. They are not recommended for beginners who might have some difficulty since they are quite steep slopes and do not always have much room to turn. However, anyone who has been skiing or snowboarding for several years is perfectly capable of going down a red slope. Some of the most famous red runs in Candanchú are: Alto Aragón, Cornisas, Los Sarrios, Marmotas or Tubo Tobazo.

- 5 Black Runs: The black runs are recommended only for expert skiers who have a good command of the skis both for turning and braking. The black runs are Carabineros, Navarros, Quebrantahuesos, Tubo Kaduff and Tubo Tuca II.

In addition to the slopes, there is also a nursery with a playground so that small children can also have fun while the adults ski.

Summary Cross-Country Skiing

To practice cross-country skiing in Candanchú your best option isCandanchú Ski Cross Country. With them you can learn all the secrets of this type of skiing, less known than alpine skiing but just as fun and even healthier. The resort's cross-country ski circuit has a total of 35 skiable kilometers which is divided into different sections for all levels: 2 blue, 2 red and 2 green. In this way it is possible for everyone to enjoy and practice this sport.

If you need to rent the material, you can do it at the station. Likewise, you can take courses with qualified teachers who will help you learn all the necessary techniques so you can do this sport on your own.

More and more people are switching from downhill skiing to cross-country skiing, which can also be called cross-country skiing or mountain skiing. What they like about this sport is that it is much less crowded and that it can be practiced on much less traveled tracks, which gives a feeling of much greater contact with nature and the landscape. Try it with Candanchú Cross Country Skiing.

Summary Snowboarding

With Candanchu Snowboard you can learn to snowboard in the Candanchú station, in the Aragonese Pyrenees. Everyone, regardless of their level, can learn this sport if they have the right teachers. This is precisely what Candanchú Snowboard and its team of professional instructors propose.

The class modalities that you can choose are the following:

- Private classes: Private classes last one hour and are taught for groups of less than 6 people (including, of course, single-person classes). Children can receive these types of classes if they are at least 4 years old. With the personal help of a monitor you will see how you progress and learn a lot quickly.

- Tailored classes: people who have little time or are looking for a specific learning program can opt for this option which consists of intensive lessons for half a day or a full day. They will be accompanied at all times by a teacher who will correct them and teach them new techniques and tricks. The VIP option also includes hotel pick-up service from the teacher.

- Group classes: Group classes are given for groups of at least 6 people who, logically, must all have a similar level. They can last a day or several, depending on the needs of the clients. This is possible because there are groups in operation all year round, in such a way that the student simply has to join one of them.

Summary Snowshoeing

If you don't feel like skiing but would still like to visit the Candanchú ski resort, the snowshoe routes of Candanchu Snowshoes are an option that will allow you to exercise, walk on the snow, contemplate beautiful white landscapes and live a unique experience.

Routes are organized for groups of at least 5 people guided by one of the station's instructors who will show you the way to follow and the most interesting places along the route. The route lasts approximately 3 hours, although the route is not always the same since it is adapted to the needs of each group.

The technical material is provided by Candanchú Snowshoes, and it is perfectly approved and maintained material. Participants will only have to bring warm clothing since the activity involves walking through snowy mountains and temperatures can be very low. The rackets are placed on top of normal footwear, so it is important to bring footwear that warms your feet to avoid getting cold.
