Museo Provincial del Vino

The Peñafiel Castle is located on a breakwater that separates the Duero and Duratón valleys. Due to its strategic location, the views of the surroundings from the Castle are panoramic and of great beauty due to their wide perspectives.

It is there where the Valladoliz Provincial Wine Museum is located. Divided into two floors, on the first of them we find the Museum, The Vine Plant, The Viticulture, The Vinification, the area of bottled, corked and encapsulated.

We will be able to visit the different types of presses, the artisans, see what tools are used, the bottles and the way in which the wine is aged and reserved.

During the guided tour, we will receive various practical tips and enjoy a tasting. It is the latter, one of the fundamental parts of the visit, and of wine aging. Tasting consists of an operation with which to experiment, analyze and appreciate the organoleptic characteristics and more specifically the olfactory-gustatory characteristics of a wine.
