The Casa Fonseca has its origins in the 19th century, more specifically in the year 1815.

We belong to thefirst league of vintage port houses.Our wine? Port, a unique classic wine.

The house has produced a succession of wines, from the first Fonseca Vintage Port of 1840 to the most recent vintages.

The vineyards are located in a unique environment of the Douro Valleywhich we must preserve. To collaborate in preserving this unique landscape of the valley we carry out sustainable and ecological viticulture.In fact, we became the first to offer anOrganically produced Port.

We grow a wide range of wines, including white, fruity, soft and aged wines, in three estates: Cruzeiro, Panascal and Santo António.

The secret of our harvests is family involvement and the values and skills transmitted from generation to generation where the link with the vineyard is the key for us.
