Centro de Interpretación del vino y la Tonelería

The Wine and Cooperage Interpretation Center is located very close to Sant Jordi. Its function is to show all the props that were used in the artisanal wine making process.

The workshop has a small vineyard with the varieties that existed in Maestrat before the arrival of phylloxera.

You will be able to see how and where the grapes were trodden, the presses used in each era, clay vats... even a century-old vine. All this, in the last workshop of artisan coopers in the Valencian Community.

The quality of a good wine also depends on its barrel, especially the wood with which it is made. The most common are American oak and French oak.

The visit will be supported with visual projections to better recreate the traditions and customs of the region.

The main attraction falls on the huge wooden tub. It was built in 1850 and reaches 6 meters high. It is currently used as a display for the products manufactured in the workshop.

Guided tours, tastings of local products, exhibitions and visits to the store are carried out.
