Celler Sabaté

Celler Sabaté is located in the heart of the Priorato region, in the small town of Vilella Baixa, in Catalonia (Spain). It is part of the Priorat Quality Denomination of Origin (D.O.Q.Priorat), famous throughout the world for obtaining wines of great quality and personality, from very special climatic conditions with plenty of sun, little rain and slate lands. with low productivity.

It is a totally family winery founded in 1910, since then, several generations have made wine in a traditional and artisanal way. The grapes come exclusively from vineyards owned and grown directly, that is, all the wine is homegrown. The vines are an average of 35 years old, with Grenache as the fundamental variety, without leaving out Cariñena and other varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon.

Currently at Celler Sabaté we incorporate new techniques in search of maximum quality, fermentation is carried out in stainless steel tanks, the wine is aged in new French and Hungarian oak barrels. All this constitutes, together with a good technical team, the obtaining of excellent quality wines, typical of the D.O.Q. Priorat that have obtained high scores in the specialized press.

This type of production, the soil, the climate, the orography and cultivation dedicated to the land for more than 100 years, allows us very competitive prices compared to other wines in the area, making Mas Plantadeta wines unique and exclusive.

Our wine brand: MAS PLANTADETA, is the name of our main estate and reflects our line of identifying the wine with the land where the grapes are grown.
