Bodegas Jorge Ordoñez

With the 2004 harvest, the first wines from Bodegas Jorge Ordoñez saw the light. Its facilities are located in the municipality of Almáchar, in the heart of Malaga's Axarquía, a mountainous region with steep slopes and slate soils, next to the Mediterranean.

It is one of the most traditional wine-growing areas in Europe. Bodegas Jorge Ordoñez became the first winery established in Velez, given that the traditional destination of these grapes was the production of raisins.

With a philosophy of innovation and constant search for quality, these wineries produce, from old Moscatel de Alejandría vineyards, naturally sweet wines from the Málaga Denomination of Origin and a Dry Moscatel from the Sierras de Málaga Denomination of Origin.< /p>

With the naturally sweet Bodegas Jorge Ordoñez pays tribute to the past and thus the winery recovers a style of Malaga wine from before the 19th century. XVII, when, with the first exports, the practice of topping the wine was introduced to preserve it from long boat journeys.
