Whalewatchandora is a company founded in 2015 specialized in sea excursions , specifically in a tour of the Gallinara Island, a wonderful place characterized by local flora and fauna, and in the search for cetaceans in the area of the Pelagos Sanctuary . The purpose of our company is to raise awareness through the activities of Whale Watching and Ecotourism as well as to make known the beauties that the Ligurian coast offers.

Our Team is made up of Marine Biologists, environmental guides and naturalists as well as captains who carry out an arduous job in collecting data and studying eight species of cetaceans, for the organization of research campaigns in Italy and abroad.

We organize high technical level excursions with the aim of raising awareness among our public about the problems concerning these beautiful mammals, you will also have the opportunity to see Dolphins and Whales in their own habitat, and not in a small tank, majestic and peaceful animals of large dimensions, all this using 3D technology for shooting cetaceans with underwater images reproduced on a screen on board via Wifi.

We collaborate with the largest Italian and foreign Institutes and Research Centers to share the information collected in the field of the Ligurian area.

Whalewatchandora is a company born in 2015 which dedicates its business to the sighting and study of cetaceans , large animals that unfortunately due to man are risking the extinction.

Despite the short time of activity of the company the company boasts members with years and years of experience , we find Marine biologists , Engineers , Environmental guides and natural , in addition to our Captain with 12 years of experience in the activity of Whale Watching. We will take you to the discovery of these fantastic mammals in the areas of the Sanctuary of Pelagos , a magnificent area known as the Sanctuary of marine mammals. all this using the most modern 3D technologies, such as underwater cameras that will allow you to see our cetacean friends live in streaming via Wifi directly from the boat.

Thanks to our activity throughout the year with frequent group outings we increase the knowledge on the distribution and health conditions of the cetaceans that inhabit these areas. We try to raise awareness among our public in order to have the support of anyone who cares about these mammals that are at risk of extinction due to man. We have established collaborations with the largest Italian and foreign centers to which we provide the data we collect during our excursions, to ensure a better future for whales and dolphins.

We deal in particular with the sighting of cetaceans in the area of the Pelagos Sanctuary but we offer the possibility, given the beauty that the area offers, to participate in an excursion to the Gallinara Island .

The island, named after the wild hens that populated it in the past, is about 1.5 km from the coast , separated by an average 12 meters deep channel which constitutes the Nature Reserve of the Gallinara Island . In the surrounding seabed wrecks of various kinds have been found as well as artifacts dating back to the 5th century BC. identified as objects coming from Marseille, due to the trades that took place in the past, and also Amphorae of the Roman age .

In our excursions all the information concerning the history, fauna and flora that make up the Gallinara Island will be explained live , obviously we give our guests the opportunity to bathe in the clear and crystalline waters of the Regional Nature Reserve, a fantastic place of unique beauty. It is also possible to participate in Snorkeling activities with advance booking where you can admire and photograph the ravines and all the living beings that compose it, while the last stop is a visit to Christ the Redeemer, the famous statue submerged.
