Welcome to the Stithians Outdoor + Active Centre Kayaking where you can enjoy the brilliant sport of kayaking on our Stithians Lake, an ideal venue for learning the sport of kayaking. We offer recognised courses and awards through the British Canoe Union as well as paddling sessions, kayak hire or the opportunity to use our lake if you own your own boat.

We offer the BCU 1 Star award course which is a 1 day Course for learning basic paddle skills to move the kayak in all directions. This course is for younger paddlers aged 8 years and over and adults.
If you are already a kayak owner, for a small fee you may use and enjoy our facilities. We also offer a wide range of kayaks for hire available.

We offer at the Stithians Outdoor + Active Centre Fishing one of England's most westerly trout fisheries. Stocked on a regular basis with rainbow trout with a natural population of brown trout, this is always a great place to come fly fishing and go home with a guaranteed catch. Only fly fishing is permitted but you can fish from the bank or boat.

Dry fly fishing is possible during the start of the season thanks to hawthorn flies. In the fall sticklebacks permit exiting sport.

Both groups and individuals can enjoy tuition from our local fishing instructor if looking for tips and pointers. All anglers are welcome from novice to experienced!

For those wish to further enjoy fishing, there are competitions and social events held throughout the year.

Stithians Outdoor + Active Centre Sailing located on Lake Stithians is known for being one of the windiest inland waters in England, making this a haven for sailors! Our lake is perfect for learning to sailing as the lack of tides means you won´t have to worry and enables you to learn in a controlled environment.

 Our qualified and multi-skilled instructors give exceptional training and run the following courses and sessions:

•    RYA Junior Stage 2
•    RYA Junior Stages 3 or 4
•    RYA Level 1
•    RYA Level 2
•    Sailability Session
•    Junior Club

If you own your own boat, we also offer you the opportunity to launch your own boat on our lake and enjoy our facilities for a small fee (if you have a third party insurance in place).

Our lake at Stithians Outdoor + Active Centre Windsurfing is noted as being one of the windiest lakes in England, making this any windsurfers dream come true. With tuition, hire and launching available on our protected lake, we are one of the best places for windsurfing in Cornwall.

Learn to windsurf with us or further advance with your technique with the assistance of our skilled and multi-skilled instructors. We can cater to both adults and children and we provide a protected and safe environment on our tide-free waters.

At Stithians Outdoor + Active Centre Climbing in Redruth, Cornwall not only do we offer a fabulous lake for watersport but we also offer a climbing wall, bouldering wall and freestanding bouldering rock. Climbing is a grand activity for all ages and it is a grand way to develop strength and confidence.

We offer climbing sessions for both adults and children and our climbing experiences can also be teamed with archery for a day of adventure! We also have loads of other activities on offer, so just enquire and see what else you can throw into the mix!

We at Stithians Outdoor + Active Centre Archery offer a fabulous lake for watersports but we also provide land activities such as archery! Archery is a wonderful and ever-popular sport that is suitable and accessible for practically everyone and it is a great way to meet a challenge

We offer archery for both adults and children and we even have a special family package that makes a wonderful day out. Groups of all sizes are also more than welcome to come along for the fun!

We offer excellent tuition sessions which will enable all archers to hit the bull´s eye in no time.
