Shropshire Sailing Club

Welcome to the Shropshire Sailing Club.   We are a friendly club that aims to accommodate the interests of individual members, of families, of keen racing sailors and of those who just enjoy “messing about in boats”.

We are an RYA Training Centre (one of only two in Shropshire) and we offer the full range of RYA Dinghy Sailing courses.  Our courses are open to adult members and non-members but members do get a discount. Youth training is for members only.  We also run the RYA Power Boating Level 2 courses using the club's safety boats.  We can offer bespoke RYA Powerboat courses for other clubs, sports and professional organisations.

Join us at Shropshire Sailing Club Sailing for sailing lessons or as a member! We are an official Royal Yachting Association training centre and we offer a wide range of RYA courses for dinghy sailing for our members or non-members on the 65 acre Whitemere.

Our waters are perfect for beginners provide safe, shelter water with beautiful surrounding countryside, but more advanced sailors can enjoy a challenge once the wind picks up.

We offer Adult Level 1 and 2 for dinghy sailing as well as Junior Stage 1 and 2 and Adult Level 3 upon request! Our instructors are all RYA certified volunteers which means they are passionate and enthusiastic about this marvelous sport!

Join as the Shropshire Sailing Club Powerboating for your powerboating lessons in Shropshire! We are an accredited Royal Yachting Association training centre and we off the RYA Level 2 Powerboating for our members and non members as well.

As a quaint sailing club, we offer an intimate environment for our students to learn and our instructors offer only the best in training. Based on the 65acre Whitemere, students will enjoy sailing on tranquil waters with loads to space to practice.
